About the Client: The Ronald McDonald House is a nationwide nonprofit organization with two locations in Indianapolis. The House’s mission is “To provide a supportive home-away-from-home for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and other area hospitals, and we champion programs that improve the health, education and well-being of children.” To learn more, visit http://www.rmhccin.org/.
About the project: The Ronald McDonald House has several consistent volunteers and occasional volunteers that provide meals and perform service work. The House does not have an efficient way to schedule the hundreds of volunteer events they schedule annually. Our job is to create a web application to make organizing volunteer events easier, as well as make a database for volunteer information.
