About the Organization
Fight for Life is a nonprofit organization that operates out of the Indianapolis, IN area. They help underserved youth develop the social and emotional qualities needed for success. They execute this mission through two primary strategies: ‘Building Dreams’ and ‘Be A Blessing'. Through the Building Dreams software Fight for Life partners with schools to provide school culture and climate management software which helps the schools track student behaviors, mood and life events
About the Project
The problem we were tasked with solving was that as the Building Dreams program expands to more schools, the manual report generation becomes more time consuming and inefficient. Our solution was to create a web-app to automate the At-a-Glance Reports. We refactored the python app into a more streamlined web-app, structured the new code base for easier implementation, and strengthened the flexibility in the visual aspect of the reports.
