The Barnabas Task
The Barnabas Task, founded by Tom and Nancy Hinton, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to transform communities through leadership development. The specific group this EPICS team is working with is creating an on-site medical clinic over the course of several days, and will accept many different local people to be treated and cared for.

Our team’s goal
Our EPICS team has decided to continue a project working alongside the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) to develop a fully functional electronic medical record application. This application will be used by the team from the COPHS when they travel to the Dominican Republic in the spring of 2017. The application has already been developed to the extent that it is functioning, but our team plans to add more functionality and further improve the app through bug fixes. Our main goal is to have the application more streamlined and personalized for our COPHS team, making their trip more focused on their patients rather than their own systems.
